About Parenthood TV Show
‘Parenthood’ shown on NBC since 2nd March 2010, is about the Braverman family featuring the patriarch Zeek Braverman, his wife, sons and daughters, their spouses and children.
Zeek Braverman is the head of the family, with high aspirations, who tried his luck with various professions but in vain. His wife Camille is a calm, unassuming, peaceful person, content with whatever she possesses.
Adam their first son tries to hold the large family together. He is a gentleman with a kind disposition and desirous of leading a happy family life.
Kristina, the wife of Adam is also a good natured woman with a lion’s heart. She loves her husband and children deeply. She takes pleasure in helping the needy.
Haddie their 15 year old premature daughter is an extremely good character. Of late, she seems to be concerned about the abnormal condition of her brother and has started taking drugs.
Max is Hadddie’s 8 year old brother who is sweet, but strange and eccentric in nature and is diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome.
38 year old Sarah is the elder of the two daughters of Zeek. She is staying with her father along with her children Drew and Amber. She worked as an artist and bartender for 15 years.
Amber Sarah’s 16 year old daughter is adamant and willful. She spends a lot of time with her boyfriend and this has affected her studies. In her new school she was asked to repeat her class for the second year.
Drew is Sarah’s 14 year old son, sensitive and desperately in need of a male role model. He entered into his teens living in the crowded house, in a mixed atmosphere which he greatly disliked. His irresponsible father had let him down so badly that he has become grim and gloomy.
31 year old Crosby is Zeek’s unmarried second son. His ex-girlfriend Jasmine, who is a dancer, introduced Crosby to their son only very recently. Katie, who is his long time girl friend, insists him that he settles down and starts a family at the earliest. She is ignorant of his past. However, in the fifth episode she comes to know about his ex-girl friend and their child.
Julia is the youngest of Zeek’s four children. She is a lawyer by profession married to Joel who stays at home taking care of their daughter. Julia is too absorbed in her work, unlike her sister Sara who is totally domesticated. However they are fond of supporting each other in times of need. Joel is at home all the time, committed to rearing the child. However, at times he finds it extremely uncomfortable having no interactions with outsiders.
Sydney is their 5 year old daughter. Naturally, she is growing up as a Daddy’s girl. This has made Julia find more time to spend with the child.
The cast includes:
Racquel, an attractive super mom whose relationship with Joel and Sydney does not go well with Julia, Dr. Pelikan, in charge of Max and Mark Cyr, Amber’s teacher, in whom Sara finds a mate.
